We have acquired a couple of Hilda's paintings for our home. Her talent of creating vibrant representations of California's iconic scenery is quite magical. Her use of color, combined with deft brush strokes, makes each painting come alive in a timeless manner. We love the enduring ambiance she has added to our home.

I walked into a beautiful building in Ventura for an art show! My son Kevin said he wanted me to meet a lovely woman named Hilda! I went upstairs and met her! Yes, she is lovely! When I turned around I fell in love with her painting “Thirteen Palms”! That was the beginning! Every painting I have brings me joy! I ‘ve given some to my daughter and my son. One day I still want one of her flower paintings. I also got three ocean paintings and made a beautiful headboard for the guest room.

One evening, downtown Ventura, ArtWalk. Never miss it. We came across a surprising artist whose art was so original, colors so compelling and style accessible to the human brain. We fell in love. We bought a painting of an umbrella and two red beach chairs in the sand. We took it home. Another art walk we bought another painting and then another and another. Hilda became a friend. We gave our beach chair painting to our realtor in exchange for sellers fees. We gave another to a neighbor who coveted it when we moved. Hilda’s paintings have homes in several states now but we keep several on display in our home wherever we live to remember this astoundingly talented artist.
